This trip combines the tour to the north west highlands of Mai Chau and the tour to South of Hanoi. And a balance of cultural and physical activities set amongst some of northern Vietnam’s most stunning scenery. We spend 5 nights in the ethnic minority villages walking an average of 5 hours a day. We trek for four days through villages in the Mai Chau area and overnight in White Thai and H’mong villages where we have the opportunity to observe the lives of the minority peoples. From the mountainous region of Mai Chau, we travel back to the capital, Hanoi. Travelers who prefer to get off the beaten track often prefer Mai Chau to Sapa..

Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau (L, D)

Am: 7h00 Depart to Mai Chau. Stop in Hoa Binh. Visit Thai village, Ban Van & Ban Lac. Overnight in Mai Chau.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Son La (B, D)

Stop to visit small ethnic hamlets scattering along the way from Yen Chau, Moc Chau (Muong people). Overnight in Son La.

Day 3: Son La - Lai Chau (B, D)

Short walk on the way. Visit the hill-tribe hamlets including the Black Tay, Meo, Muong and White Tay. Free trekking to the old French Prison, Hot Springs and natural caves. Vân Long pass, Ban Nâm Na and other villages in the surroundings). Overnight at Lai Chau.

Day 4: Lai Chau (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel. Full day boat trip along on the Da River and visit minorities villages on the river banks. Overnight at Lan Anh hotel in Lai Chau.

Day 5: Lai Chau - Sinho - Lai Chau (B, D)

Am: 7h30 Drive Lai Chau to Sinho. Sightseeing stops on the way for breathtaking scenery.
Pm: 17h00 return to Lai Chau. Overnight at Lan Ah hotel in Lai Chau.

Day 6: Lai Chau - Phong Tho (B, D)

Am: 8 Depart to Phong Tho. More sightseeing stops on the way for breathtaking scenery.
Pm: 14h00 arrive Phong Tho. Free time. Overnight at Phuong Thanh hotel in Phong Tho.

Day 7: Phong Tho - Sapa (B, D)

More sightseeing stops on the way for breathtaking scenery. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 8: Sapa (B, L, D)

You will have time to trek to Silver Water Falls and Cloud Bridge. Enjoy the Love Market every Saturday night. Overnight at Sapa.

Day 9: Sapa - Bac Ha ( B, L, D)

Depart at 6.00 a.m. for Bac Ha. Stop on the way for sightseeing.
visit ethnic hamlets and take photographs. You will have time to visit the houses on stilt of H'Mong, Dzao, minorities in Bac Ha. Overnight in Bac Ha.

Day 10: Bac Ha - Hanoi ( B, L)

7h00 Am Return to Hanoi. More stop on the way. 17h00 Arrive Hanoi.

Children without bed under 02 years old will be charged at 25% out of the package quotation (share bed with their parent).
